In March 2012, twenty 7th and 8th grade students from Solomon Middle School will travel by train from Mississippi to Chicago, recreating an epic journey. This blog will document our students' experiences. Thank you for your support!

There are many advantages and different things to do in Chicago. It is way much bigger than Greenville. You can have many other opportunities. You can have a variety of jobs and schools to choose from. You can have a lot to do while on Chicago instead of not having just one or two things to do. You can visit many big buildings and places. Some of the places you can visit and get information from instead of just going there you can’t get information out of it. This will be a good change for some of the Mississippians that are traveling to Chicago. It will let them get a feel of how it is like to live in Chicago or to be there for a while. So in conclusion, there are a lot of things to do in Chicago to be active than just being bored. -Jameese C.
Well, there are many things that Chicago is different from in Greenville, but here are some reasons why: 1. Chicago got many tall buildings than the ones in Greenville. 2. The economy is much better than the one we have now in Greenville. 3. The people are livelier there in Chicago. 4. The atmosphere is even worst there in Chicago. 5. They have better jobs and they pay more wages there. 6. Also, compare to Chicago and Greenville, Chicago got better food than Greenville. So, as a result, Chicago is the best city compared to Greenville. Even though Greenville is my hometown and that many of my family members love Greenville, I have to go with Chicago as the best city I know for now. Patrick B.
